Part of the 10km escarpment road leading to Kingfisher oil field in Hoima district has been commissioned.
Part of the 10km escarpment road leading to Kingfisher oil field in Hoima district has been commissioned.
The access road which is from the escarpment top in Ikamiro village to the Buhuka flat lands, leads to Kingfisher oil field that is manned by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) in Hoima, Albertine Graben.
China Communication Company (CCC) was contracted to do the works that started in August 2014 till September 2015.
At the commissioning event on Friday, the Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda said the road was built to support the production of oil and gas in the country.
