Vipers' coach Edward Golola has promised to design a strategy that will enable his side compete in the CAF Champions League without their captain Farouk Miya.

Uganda's league champions are set to face Nigerian side Enyimba in two weeks' time but there are concerns as to whether they will be able to progress to the next round without Miya following their goalless draw against Kenyan side Tusker in an international friendly on Saturday.

Miya is close to completing his move to Belgian giants Standard Liege after both clubs reached an agreement of $400,000(sh1.38b) sign on fee.

"I have natured many players such as Yunus Sentamu and now Miya. I believe we can find a player who will replace Miya. I have a new young striker called Pius Wanji that I believe if given enough time will be the next player to watch," said Golola.
