The drama surrounding singer Leila Kayondo and her husband, businessman Suleiman Kabangala Mbuga alias S.K. Mbuga is not short of twists and turns.
After filing a case of assault against her husband and unsuccessfully attempting to withdraw the same charges, Leila Kayondo stood surety for him Monday afternoon after he was arraigned before Grade One Magistrate Richard Mafabi at Makindye.
Mbuga was arrested on Friday evening on charges of assault from a bar in Kabalagala, a city suburb, and detained at Kabalagala Police station where he spent the weekend.
Mbuga pleaded not guilty and was granted bail after the complainant and a one Walakira Zake stood sureties.
City socialites like Meddie Sentongo were present in court.
The embattled couple refused to comment on the saga before they sped off in their monster cars.
