Gashumba represents Ugandan at Miss Grand International 2015

Lilian Gashumba, represents Uganda at the Miss Grand international 2015 pageant, happening in Huamark, Bangkok Thailand.

Gashumba left on October 4 for Thailand, anticipating taking on 97 girls, but only 84 managed to make it.

The competition has already kicked off with the first week of activities, which include tour of the Trat Province, Thailand, and star of the stars fashion show.

Next to come in the competition is determining who looks the best in swim wear, and this will be done on October 11, 8:00pm.

Hopeful, Gashumba who has earlier participated in a number of international pageants like Miss Tourism Oriental China 2012, and Miss Bride of the World China 2014, and walked home with the Miss African Beauty crown, will not disappoint.

She is up against tough contestants from other countries like Cuba, a country that took home the crown, (Lees Garcia) last year.

Other countries include India, Brazil,Canada,Thailand, Dominican, and more.

She has great confidence, though, that she will not only win best swim wear look, but also best national wear, including the actual crown of Miss Grand International.

"I have great Ugandan inspired outfits done by Rafael Kasule, and last year when I took home the Miss African Beauty crown, i got a free training professional pageant coach from New Orleans, who taught me a million of things, and I believe I am more than ready to win this," Gashumba said.


She has also been one of the miss tourism pageant couches, teaching the girls on how to conduct themselves.

The 26 year old Gashumba, is a University student of Information and Technology.
