Museveni, Obasanjo discuss South Sudan

President Yoweri Museveni has this afternoon met and held discussions with the former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo at his country home in Rwakitura, Kiruhura district.
President Yoweri Museveni has this afternoon met and held discussions with the former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo at his country home in Rwakitura, Kiruhura district.
H.E Obasanjo is currently heading the African Union Commission on South Sudan and is on a working visit concerning South Sudan refugees living in Uganda.
A commission of inquiry was appointed by the AU to investigate human rights violations and other abuses committed during the armed conflict that broke out in South Sudan in mid-December 2013.

Obasanjo was accompanied by the Executive Secretary Olabisi Dare, Yankey Simone Ouattara, the Senior Programme Officer Women, Gender and Development among others.
The meeting was also attended by Uganda’s Minister for Relief and Disaster Preparedness Hon Hillary Onek.
