Call for an Invitation to Bid (ITB)

Potential firms are required to submit bids for 42 Global Positioning Systems (GPS) Units.

Brief about the project
UNDP is providing support to the National Planning Authority (NPA) to strengthen its Information Technology. As such NPA is setting up a GIS system and has acquired and installed ArcGIS for Server Advanced Enterprise and ArcGIS 10.2.1 Desktop advanced software on its server. For the districts to benefit from the system, NPA shall set up a mobile solution that will enable the planners to access the centralized servers located at the NPA offices using the GPS units. There will be deployment or update of mobile GIS data and access maps.

The updated information will be sent back to the office in real-time or in a disconnected environment. The users would be able to view the said information from a portal and produce maps from the data captured. For this purpose, therefore, NPA requires the purchase of 42 GPS units.
