Komwaka Yusta who allegedly locked her husband in a house and set it ablaze has been committed to the High Court in Mbarara on murder charges

THE woman who allegedly locked her husband in a house and set it ablaze was on Tuesday committed to the High Court in Mbarara on murder charges.
Court sitting in Ibanda district presided over by Grade II Magistrate Gibson Muhangi committed Komwaka Yusta, 47, to Mbarara High Court on two counts of arson and murder.
Prosecution told court that on May, 20, while at their home in Rugaaga I Kinkyekye Sub County in Ibanda district, Komwaka burnt her husband Andrew Byaruhanga, aged 51 over alleged infidelity.
Byaruhanga who sustained severe burns died a day later at Mulago Referral Hospital
Byaruhanga was a prominent model farmer in the area and had concentrated on horticulture, cattle rearing and tree planting
Komwaka has been on remand at Nyabuhikye Government Prison since her arrest in May.
