THE Falcons were without three star players but it was never going to matter against the worst team in the Airtel National Basketball League (ANBL).

Steven Tumwesigye grabbed a game-high 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Falcons registered a fuss-free 79-48 victory over the Miracle Eagles Sunday at Lugogo.

The six-time champions were missing Phillip Amweny, Goeffrey Omondi and Serge Kabangu, absent for personal reasons, but Gad Eteu’s men are in a much higher league than a Miracle team that has one victory to their account all season.

Sam Obol, Steven Omony and Timothy Otim added 14, 11 and 10 points respectively for the Falcons, who led from wire to wire.

Raymond Bukenya dropped 18 points for Miracle but the Eagles never had a shout.
