Akena sworn in as UPC president: In pictures

The Uganda People's Congress party finally swears in their new president Jimmy Akena.


KAMPALA - Uganda People's Congress (UPC) party finally swore in their new president Jimmy Akena during a delegates' conference at UMA showground Lugogo, a symbol that they are ready to move on following protracted internal battles with outgoing president Olara Otunnu. Akena is the son of the late Dr. Apolo Milton Obote, the party's founding father.
