IT will not be an easy assignment but Uganda is not ready to fall to Kenya in today’s Mountain Dew FIM-CAC Motocross challenge at the Uganda Motorsport Arena Busiika

Team captain Arthur Blick junior made the vow in press briefing yesterday in Busiika where Rwenzori water committed sh5m sponsorship to the event that is the second round of the East and central Motocross Championship.

“We are aware of Kenya’s big turn-up for the event, but I want to remind Shivamu (Vinayak) the Kenya team captain that we are the defending champions and we are out to defend our title on home soil,” Blick stated. 

Blick was responding to Vinayak’s earlier statement that they (Kenyans) are here to take individual crowns.

Vinayak was impressed with the track and weather saying it is good for the competition.

“The track is good, the weather perfect if doesn’t change and I’m prepared for the big Ugandan crowd that always turns up for motocross,” Vinayak stated.

Asaf warns not to be written off

With all eyes set on Uganda’s Maxime van Pee and Kenya’s Vinayak in today’s battle at Busiika, former national Champion Asaf Natan has warned not to be written off.

“I’m fit and ready to take on the young boys and they will feel the heat,”Asaf stated after training in Busiika yesterday. 

Crazy freestyle rider promises fun

Freestyle rider Nick De Wit promised to give Ugandan fans value for money.

“They were excited and crazy with Van Vurren but I promise they will leave in disbelief because what Vurren did is just part of what I trained him and I am here to show more,” the world’s number 5 freestyle rider stated.

Kenya leads the championship with 896 points, after winning the first round with cumulative 1632 points while Uganda collected 736 points and Tanzania 67points.

Alistair Blick and Ali Omar will lead the 85cc category against Kenya’s Elias Sherman and Rolf Kihara that were among top finishers in the first round.
