Artiste Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool enjoyed his night as he unveiled his Go Mama album before journalists, radio and television presenters including disc jokies who praised most of his new hits, which many said had created a new era in the music industry not only in Uganda but Africa in general.
The 'Go Mama' album has 14 hits including Freedom that caused much excitement among a packed Liquid Silk Bar and Lounge media and listeners' party in Bugoloobi.
Zuena Kirema Ssali, the singer's wife attended the show that attracted big names in the music industry including Juliana Kanyomozi and Pastor Wilson Bugembe who later prayed for the album.
Bebe Cool mixed his music on CDs and performed live one song at a time, pausing on several occasions to let the audience react to the performance of each song.
On several occasions, while Bebe Cool defended each song, acknowledged criticism as well from the likes of Eddy Ssendi, Kasuku, Jenkins and others.
He surprised the lively audience when he knelt before Juliana as his wife looked on unfazed. He thanked her for her positive comments about his album and danced with her on stage.
He explained that the album has all styles of songs including dancehall, R and B, Kidandali, Swahiri and other styles, which he said were meant to meet tastes of all categories of people.
The songs on the album include his three best previous songs, Love you every day, Everywhere you go and Old School.
New songs on the album include Freedom, a rock music hit which literally talks about freedom of love, African Gal, Tofaayo, Mandela, Anything for Love(slow hit), Tofa Ku Bigambo, Make the World Dance, Old Skool, Sweet Banana, Byebyo(favourite for the youth), Tokota (Swahiri) and African Girl for Africa, which talks about the importance of being an African girl.
Uganda's deputy ambassador to Rwanda, Ann Katusiime, attended the show.
