Rapper Navio rocks Gulu

With prevailing peace and stability in northern Uganda party animals are now having the time of their life.

As is the case in Kampala and other towns when musicians are kept busy entertaining fans so is Gulu now, a departure from the old days when gunshots would ring out all night confining residents to their houses.
 
Blue Mango, a popular happening joint, was Friday host to celebrated local rapper Navio.

The youthful crowd was mostly comprised of high school students

The rousing concert dubbed 'Hip hop 4ever' that attracted even local singers had hip hop lovers partying all night long.

With entrance at just sh4,000, youth mostly from high school were delighted with the show organizers for bringing them a superstar in the caliber of Navio.

By 11:30pm, a mammoth crowd had already filled Blue mango as performances from local artists and comedian continued till after midnight.

Artists like Fake B, Mr. JF Manu, Sammy Kats, Tosha dancers with free style and Comedian Lady Keke spiced the concert as the crowd enjoyed the local musical lyrics.

The inconvenience of a drizzle did not deter the patient crowd.

The tempo went up a notch when guest performers like Lumix, a celebrated artist both on the local and national scene stormed the stage with his Can Obedo Mera that left ladies cream high.

Soon, Robby J the co-director of Blue mango and also a musician jumped onto the stage followed by big daddy Myth with remixes of Menton Krono and and Menton Summer.

At exactly 2:30am, the “Bishop artist” as described by the emcee and a self-named Odoch Navio took on the stage to a deafening uproar from the audience.

The rapper took the audience through his collabo with Bobi wine, Bad man from Kamokya and Startling.

It was however the folklare collabo with Nanduga, Nawuliranga, which sent fans in a frenzy. By 3.40am when the show ended it was another memorable party night.
