After Sunday’s defeat in the sixth round of the Mountain Dew National Motocross Championship at the Extreme Sports Park at Garuga, Arthur Blick Jr has given up any hope of winning this year’s MX1 championship title.

Blick conceded the title as he talked to New Vision at Garuga on Sunday. He admitted that his rival Maxime Van Pee is unstoppable
this season.

“To be honest to you, this boy is too fast this year and there is no hope of this year’s title for me. We have to wait till next year,” Blick stated.

He promised to train hard and put up the best fight in the remaining two rounds that include the seventh round and the FIM Africa Central Africa Motocross championship in November and December respectively.

“He (Maxime) has already made his intentions clear and the best we can do is give him a stiff challenge in the remaining rounds,” Blick added.

Blick is trailing Maxime by 52 points and even if he wins the two remaining events, he can’t beat Maxime unless the leader fails to turn up like it was last year due to exams.
