For all her craziness and wildness that had won her followers on various social media threads, they did not vote for her and Esther got evicted from the Big Brother Africa Hotshots Sunday evening.

The fear earlier had been that Ellah, who had not got any country vote on week one of evictions, would be the one to go but it turns out her camp won her Uganda’s country vote and Esther lost out.

And lest we forget, Ellah has been the talk of the show lately. She has drawn big attention to her shower hour moments as she does it in her Adam’s suit. She is also played her game maturely so far, affable but strategic with whom to deal with.

Esther was evicted alongside Nigeria’s Lillian and Kenya’s Sabina and that means five girls have left the house so far. Are these year’s girls cack-handed in their game strategies or it’s something we are yet to find out?

Nigeria’s Tayo nominated Alusa for eviction this Sunday for that very reason. He feels the house is becoming a “boy’s camp”. Zimbabwe’s JJ scooped five country votes and is now looking every bit like the outright favourite for the $300,000 (sh800, 000,000) jackpot.

Tayo received three and Permithias two. Four housemates received one country vote each, which means that the tie-breaker rule came into effect, and two housemates received no country votes.

According to the Big Brother Africa rules, if the popularity vote does not yield clear evictees and there is a deadlock between two or more housemates, the percentage vote from each of the 15 regions will be added together and divided by 14 in order to generate an across-the-board percentage, which will then ascertain who stays and who goes. That’s how Esther lost.

During the nominations, Ellah’s three nominations from Macky2, Perminthias and Goitse show she has not made enough adversaries yet in the house.

Zambia’s Macky2 was sarcastic while nominating saying “she is such a beauty queen,” while Permithias nominated her because “she stays in her comfort zones (runway) and doesn’t get out of it,” and Goitse nominated her because she feels “Ellah is strong and keeps to her character” and therefore finds her a threat.

It’s up to Ellah’s team in Uganda and Africa to up the game and save her.
