Uganda Cranes lead striker Geoffrey Massa has blamed Cranes fi rst loss in the 2015 Africa Nations Cup qualifi ers to a poor approach to the game.

“We lost because we gave the opponents confidence early in the match. We failed to concentrate and effectively play as advised by the coach. You know football is all about concentration. We have two, three days before the return leg and I am sure we shall concentrate and perform better,” Massa said.

Massa has been appointed captain for the match at Stade de Kegue in Lome on Wednesday in the absence of suspended defender Andrew Mwesigwa.

Mwesigwa has accumulated two yellow cards. The Cranes left for Togo last night with Tusker defender Martin Kiiza replacing Mwesigwa.

Murushid Jjuuko was also named in the squad of 18 players and seven officials. The team left aboard Ethiopian Airways via Addis Ababa and are expected to arrive in Lome tonight.
