Kabaka Mutebi opens 20th Buganda Lukiiko

THE Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II on Monday opened the 20th Lukiiko (Parliament) at Bulange Mengo in the capital Kampala.

He arrived at Bulange at around midday. Hundreds of Buganda loyalists lined up along the Kabaka Njagara road to welcome the Kabaka.  

Kabaka Mutebi opens the Lukiiko once every year after the coronation anniversaries.

Last month Bwanika House was burnt down at Naggalabi Coronation Site. This came three years after fire gutted Kasubi royal tombs. Kasubi tombs housed the remains of four fallen Buganda great kings.
