Broke up over her dirty underwear

I got my fi rst girlfriend when I was a student at Nkozi University. This girl was very beautiful and charming so when she accepted to become my girlfriend, I felt like the luckiest man in the world. My happiness, however, did not last beyond our fi rst night together. 

 

This girl, with all her beauty and charm, had the dirtiest undies I had ever seen. They had all sorts of stains so it was hard to tell their original colour.

 

The sight of her stained panties was a total put off for me. I had to cook up an excuse for not sleeping with her. I think I told her that I could not sleep with her because I loved her for who she was.

 

Fortunately, she believed my lie and said I was the best man she could ever have. For a while, I said nothing about her panties because I did not want to lose her. When I told my friends about it, they told me to ask her close friend to talk to her.

 

However, the friend refused and insisted that I was the right person to talk to her. On her birthday, I bought her 12 panties with the hope that she would get the message. Within a month, it was clear to me that she had no idea that her undies were a disgrace as nothing had changed. The new undies were as stained as the old ones, so I asked her to throw them away and bought her new ones.

 

I eventually realised that buying her panties would not solve her problems.  I noticed that whenever she visited me over the weekends, she would not come with extra underwear because, she said, she did not need to. After bathing, she would wear the same underwear she had been in before her bath.

 

Once, I asked if she was not going to wash her underwear and she answered that it was not dirty. When I asked how often she washed her panties, her answer was: ‘When they are dirty.’ Sometimes, she told me, she wore them thrice before washing. It is at that point that I decided to let this beautiful girl go.

Costs of dirty underwear

Thinking about recycling your favourite underwear? Think about this: In 1964, British doctors examined 940 men’s underwear and found different levels of fecal matter. 

 

More research has since revealed that dirty underwear is a breeding ground for all sorts of germs. A study carried out by the UK’s leading laundry specialist, Dr. Beckmann Colour & Dirt Collector revealed that 34% of British men wear their underwear for three days before washing them. Some go as far as turning their undies inside out before re-using them.

 

An online article by Healthy Living points out that the groin area is an ideal breeding ground for germs because is it a particularly warm and moist area. By wearing dirty underwear, one puts one’s sexual health at risk of getting several infections. 

 

Women who wear dirty underwear expose themselves to vaginal infections, urinary tract infections like candida as well as female reproductive infections.

 

According to healthyliving. com: “Men that are not circumcised, don’t wash the pubic region often or well and those that already have an infection are even more at risk for a fungal or bacterial infection,” if they wear dirty underwear. 

 

Research has also shown that wearing dirty underwear exposes one to ringworm of the groin ( jock itch) and a strain of bacteria called e.coli.

 

Though e.coli is a good bacteria when found in the digestive system, when this particular bacteria is found in other areas of the body, it causes illness and can be fatal.”
