Alice Kaboyo, the former State House official has been convicted of abuse of office and fined sh20m.
Anti-Corruption Court Chief magistrate, Irene Akankwasa Tuesday sentenced Kaboyo to a two-year jail term in default.
Kaboyo admitted writing to former health minister Jim Muhwezi, requisitioning for over sh500 for allegedly national youth health programmes.
She received sh250m of the requisitioned money.
Magistrate Akankwasa said she has been lenient with Kaboyo because she returned the money.
Kaboyo told reporters at Court that she was happy with the verdict.
This was at the resumption of the trial of three former Ministers of Health accused of stealing GAVI funds.
Three ex-Ministers, Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi, Mike Mukula and Dr. Alex Kamugisha along with Kaboyo are on trial over alleged loss of sh1.6bn from the GAVI Fund.
Muhwezi and Mukula allegedly stole sh210m, according to the charge sheet.
Prosecution was taken over by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) after the Constitutional Court in another case stopped the Inspectorate from conducting prosecutions because it was not fully constituted.
