With his newly acquired KTM 350 cc bike, 2012 model, teenage Motocross star Maxim Van Pee is confident he can beat Arthur Blick come Sunday in the opening round of the National championship that gets underway at the Motor Sport Arena -Busiika.

Maxime, fresh from France where he has been undergoing riding lessons, added that with Yusuf Bukenya and Unissan Bakunda taking part, Blick will be surrounded by riders who will not only give him a breathless day but also will be ready to bring him down this season.

“I have been working on my turns and the improvement I have really made gives me confidence that that I can beat Blick,” he said.

The young sensation said he will try to be consistent and avoid errors from, a lesson he picked from last year’s event when mistakes let him down yet he had been in the lead.

“I was leading in Busika last season then I made mistakes and fell down and I was overtaken by Asaf and Arthur, but this year it’s going to be different.”

The 17-year old biker has always been a tough challenger of Blick’s and his determination has been described by Blick himself as a “future power in not only Uganda but also on the African continent.”

Blick said: “I know he has been training very hard but am ready and set to do my best.”
