Let’s tap into our own attractions

EDITOR—I thank Esther Namugoji for her article “Discover your own town†(Sunday Vision February 14). The article was a good example of how the media can encourage people to take interest in the natural gifts of their country.
EDITOR—I thank Esther Namugoji for her article “Discover your own town†(Sunday Vision February 14). The article was a good example of how the media can encourage people to take interest in the natural gifts of their country.
Besides being an exciting and educative experience, exploring towns and the countryside presents numerous opportunities to innovative people to develop the unique natural and cultural features in their midst into tourist attractions.
Ugandans need to learn how tourist attractions can be identified with respect to the opportunities they offer for development of related tourist activities. This will pave the way for them to tap into the wealth of those who come to see the beauty of their country.
