THE Uganda Cricket Association has resolved to have thorough consultations before changing its name and turning the body into a limited company.

The association special meeting at Oasis club last Saturday decided that detailed consultations about the impact of changing the name and other details, before they think of changing the constitution.

“Most members looked at the changes needed as massive and just changing sections of the constitution might not provide a lasting solution.

It was a big job and they gave permission to the legal committee to pick a team of six to do the consultations,” said Martin Ondeku, the UCA administrative officer.

Some members had raised a point that in order for the association to start owning property, it must change to a recognised legal entity.

However the assebly passed thet from now for a club to acquire full membership, they must have women sides.
