Mother dares fling with son
SOMEONE in Lwanyama, Kamuli got concerned that Fred Kagende’s son had entered his father’s bedroom with his step mother and was stayed there too long in his father’s absence. She told another and the two came closer and got more suspicious.

They ran to the LC chairman, who summoned his defence secretary and the group headed to Kagende’s house. That time, Kagende’s son, Julius Bawaate, 25, was still locked up with Sarah Namugeere, 27, his father’s wife. Kagende works in Kampala as a driver and is often away from home. Namugeere has four children in the polygamous marriage which also includes Bawaate’s mother.

The LC throng broke the door only to find Namugeere having sex with her step son. It is a cultural taboo. The mother had committed incest with her son. They dragged the two to a police post in Kisozi, where they confessed to having had a sexual relationship.

Policemen were thrown into bouts of laughter when Namugeere defended herself, saying she had been sexually starved because her husband had not been home for over six months.

“He works in the city and has been gone for over six months. This boy has been taking care of me and providing necessities like soap,” she told the police as Bawaate urged her on.

“Tell them mother, tell them,” he said. Police alerted Kagende on phone and he promised to travel to Kamuli to make a statement. But onlookers were heard blaming Kagende too for marrying a young woman and abandoning her at home for long, yet he had older sons. This, they claimed, was a sure recipe for such sex scandals.
