UGANDA Hippos will approach today’s U-20 CECAFA final against hosts Eritrea as the most experienced team in the Championship having featured in four finals since 1999. Both Uganda and Eritrea have reached the final with an unbeaten record and the hosts will want to win the championship on their finals debut appearance.

Like it was against Kenya in the semi-finals, Hippos coach Frank ‘Video’ Anyau will preach to his side on how to keep Eritrea away from penetrating the box.
“It is the second time I have guided this team to the final and I’m not worried. We shall hide the ball away from them and use our opportunities maximally because it is the goals that count at the end,” Anyau said yesterday.

The Hippos will need to take care of Eritrean dangermen Abraham Tendros, Tesafalem Tekele and Meron Hebteslus.
Eritrean coach Negash Teklit has promised no respect for the defending champions when the battle for the trophy that comes with sh22.5m rages on at Asmara Stadium.
