AFTER winning the highest number of awards at the 2010 PAM Awards, including Artiste of the Year, singer Bebe Cool cited President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni among the people he dedicated the accolades to.
Bebe Cool is currently in the US receiving treatment for the injuries he sustained when he was shot in the legs in February.
On his Facebook account minutes after he had been announced winner of the most coveted Artiste of the Year category, Bebe Cool wrote: “I dedicate these awards to Allah, my mom, my wife and kids, H.E Yoweri Museveni, my brothers and sisters, producers, DJs, friends and all the fans of Bebe Cool and Gagamel Entertainment.
No weapon formed against me shall prosper.â€
Talking to New Vision, Bebe Cool said Museveni stood by him throughout what he called a tough year.
“The President visited me and expressed his goodwill towards me after I had been shot.
He also paid for my treatment. In so doing, he has shown that he cares for not only me, but musicians and Ugandans as a whole.â€
