THE presidential advisor on the African Growth Opportunity Act (AGOA), Susan Muhwezi, has urged parents to equip their children with scholastic materials and give them lunch to ensure good performance.
â€œThe Government has relieved you of paying school fees in both primary and secondary schools, but you also have other Â roles to play Â to make sure children get basic education,â€ Muhwezi said in a message read by the Rukungiri RDC, Dan Kaguta, during fundraising drive for construction of a staff house at Kasoroza Primary School at Nyakagyeme in Rukungiri.
A total of shs 4.8m was raised in cash and pledges. Can. Susan Muhwezi contributed shs 1m while her husband Rujumbura Member of Parliament, Jim Muhwezi contributed shs 500,000.
