THE presidential advisor on the African Growth Opportunity Act (AGOA), Susan Muhwezi, has urged parents to equip their children with scholastic materials and give them lunch to ensure good performance.

THE presidential advisor on the African Growth Opportunity Act (AGOA), Susan Muhwezi, has urged parents to equip their children with scholastic materials and give them lunch to ensure good performance.

“The Government has relieved you of paying school fees in both primary and secondary schools, but you also have other  roles to play  to make sure children get basic education,” Muhwezi said in a message read by the Rukungiri RDC, Dan Kaguta, during fundraising drive for construction of a staff house at Kasoroza Primary School at Nyakagyeme in Rukungiri.
 
A total of shs 4.8m was raised in cash and pledges. Can. Susan Muhwezi contributed shs 1m while her husband Rujumbura Member of Parliament, Jim Muhwezi contributed shs 500,000.
