“There is no smoke without fire”. There is no reason why a Member of Parliament should not be condemned for involving himself/herself in acts of corruption. Corruption is defined as “the use of public office for private gain.”
If you make use of your office to influence the construction of a road to your hotel, should you not be questioned?
This is not the way constituencies are developed. Roads should be directed to health centres, markets and food producing areas.
Leaders should openly come out and condemn any acts of corruption whatsoever.
And of course the leaders should practice what they preach!
