THE Police recently released Dennis Karuhanga, the LC3 chairman of Kabingo, Ntungamo, reports Jude Etyang.
Karuhanga, who had been in detention for three months, was released on bond.
He was arrested on December 21 from his home in Rwikiniro village, Ntungamo district, by Operation Wembley operatives. He was held at the Wembley headquarters in Makindye and later at the Central Police Station in Kampala.
State Attorney Richard Malinga said murder and robbery charges against Karuhanga were still being investigated.
Karuhanga’s lawyer said his client’s detention was unconstitutional.
