OVER 3,000 Lord’s Resistance Army returnees have applied for the Acholi Education Initiative (AEI) scholarship.
The chairman of AEI project and vice-chairman of Acholi Religious Leaders Peace Initiative, the rtd bishop Macloed Baker Ochola, said this on Sunday during a general assembly at Diana Gardens in Gulu.
“Over 3000 war affected adolescents have applied for the scholarship but we need only 2000 children from Gulu, Pader and Kitgum. We have already paid school fees for 200 children,” Ochola said.
