JINJA â€“ A taxi driver appeared before the Grade One Magistrate Vicent Mugabo and was charged with theft of a spare tyre worth shs190,000 from a stationary vehicle. Prosecution said Siraji Bogere, 39, committed the offence during the night on March 18, at Caltex Petrol Station.

KAMPALA â€“ The Northern Uganda Social Action Fund (NUSAF) has received $100m from the World Bank to ensure that communities in the north catch up with the rest of the country. NUSAF executive director, Fred Opio, said the Government would contribute $13.35m while districts will contribute $20. Ends
