KABIRA International School, Uganda cemented its reputation as a swimming pool powerhouse by emerging victorious in a swimming gala held at Lincoln in Lubowa.
Kabira, who amassed 525 points, had to shrug off competition from the hosts whose efforts proved 50 points short of their rivals.
Kabira owed its massive advantage to their relays team, where their four strong swimmers completely overwhelmed their opponents in each of the strokes, to propel them to an incredible 39 race wins.
Rainbow came a distant third with 319 points followed by Green Hill Academy, who were 100 points adrift.
The large crowd that witnessed the competition was treated to some great races and a few dazzling close finishes that bore testimony to the swimming potential the competing schools harbour.
Debutantes Taibah found the going tough as they finished rock-bottom with a miserable 54 points.
The swimming gala attracted over 200 swimmers from the age of seven onwards.
