BUSIA — The LC5 chairman, Stephen Wanyama Oundo, is among 17 district officials undergoing a one-month computer training course under the capacity building programme of the district directorate of education and sports, this financial year. The course is being conducted by the Institute of Accountants and Computer studies.

Busia aided
BUSIA – UNICEF Uganda Country Programme 2001-2005 has released sh100m to the district. A letter from UNICEF to the chief administrative officer said the funds will be directed to several activities including promoting children’s rights. The funds will also be used to run women and youth projects in Busitema, Bulumbi, Masaba and Lunyo sub-counties.

Orphans get
KAMULI — A total of 130 orphaned pupils selected from four primary schools recently received scholastic materials and uniforms from Busota Orphans and Vulnerable Children Support Project, a local NGO. This was at the launch of the project by the district chairman, Baligeya Kaloli Isabirye, who urged its managers to ensure credibility and sustainability of the project.
