He had a protracted spell on the secular block with the Cultural Beat Band but ever since his conversion to Born Again Christianity, Kirwana MC Africa, has been rising with remarkable momentum.

He has defied the boundaries of tradition and made it to the top in an almost unprecedented space of time. It is barely three years ago when he felt touched to forfeit worldly entertainment and choose to follow Christ. Since he had an irrevocable gift of singing, he decided to switch dimension and as a result, his music is currently the darling of countless presenters on several Christian FM stations.

In March 2003, Kirwana launched his debut album on CD, titled Omukisa Ogutalina Buyinike, at Christian Life Church, Bwaise. It was recorded at Kasiwukira Studios.

“I consider this very first one of my projects as very successful, especially considering the good sales and feedback from my fans,” said the jovial Kirwana. He now features in most of the high -powered gospel music concerts around the country, along side other big names.

His new CD album has six tracks, with Omukisa as the biggest bang of them all. His music is basically Afro beat combined with some instrumental Lingala undertones, especially as it climaxes.

His manager, Gospel music star Betty Nakibuuka, has played a monumental role in the advancement of his young career, offering herself as his walking stick on his path to greatness. Kirwana MC Africa’s next recording begins in September this year and next launching is 2004.
