By Kiganda Ssonko ALTHOUGH she got saved, this didn’t save her from being divorced by her husband, after confessing all her past sins in church. Recently, Rose Nattabi, of Kawempe Maganjo in Kampala, got saved while in Kawempe God Light Church in the presence of her husband who was disgusted by her “dirty†past. Last Sunday, Nattabi persuaded her husband to go to church. During the service she was touched by the preaching of the fiery preacher. She told her husband how she had seen God the previous night and had been touched by the preaching and was therefore getting saved. The husband said it was okay for her to turn to God as this would also mould her morals. After the service, the woman started revealing her past behaviour to the pastors who were receiving Christians who wanted to get saved or born-again. “Oh God, thanks for showing me light, I have been a big sinner. I have sinned so much, I have committed adultery with different men. I have slept with seven men since 1996 when I got married to my man. God I’m in your eyes but pardon me,†she confessed. She went on, “Not only that my Lord. I have been using charms and witchcraft to bewitch my husband not to love other women and to love me so much. I at one time bewitched my husband’s concubine until she died. Oh sorry my God,†She added, “I have even been stealing money from my husband’s shop in Bwaise. I once stole one million shillings and told him it was thieves who stole it from me on my way home. God help me, I have reformed.†The husband looked puzzled and walked out of the church annoyed. He went straight home and planned how to get rid of her. When she went back home, she found her man angry and he told her to pack her things and leave since he had discovered “the real her.†“I can no longer manage you. you committed adultery and even stole my money. What if you leave God? Won’t you resume this behaviour. Just leave my house,†he said. Nattabi pleaded with her husband but in vain. She finally left the home after he stood his ground and threatened to use force to chase her away. Ends
