A LAW is being prepared to make MPs accountable for their statements in Parliament.
The State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Hope Mwesigye (right), said this would stop MPs from making false statements in the House.
Mwesigye, who is also the Kabale Women MP, was recently featuring on Rukiiko programme on Voice of Kigezi radio.
She was referring to Rukiga MP Jack Sabiiti who told Parliament last month that Voice of Kigezi news editor Onesmus Bisigwaho had been arrested over a story on President Yoweri Museveni.
It was later found out that the journalist was not arrested or harassed by Police as alleged.
