Police must think twice!

It is absurd that the people around wanted to lynch the traffic officers who were on duty. If it was not for the intervention of the riot Police, the officers would have been in trouble. Police should devise better means of arresting boda-boda culprits. I once wrote in this paper that one day either a traffic officer, a passenger or a cyclist would get injured if this method was not stopped.

In this case, the cyclist was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

This practice is very common on almost all the roundabouts in the morning but I have witnessed one at Wandegeya near the Police station. Every officer, whether big or small in rank, takes cover waiting for a cyclist!

To the idlers and hawkers at Wandegeya, it is fun, because it can take about 10 minutes to arrest these cyclists who in turn apply their skills of riding through the heavy traffic jam caused by these arrests! What is annoying is that the officers are always happy chasing these illiterate fellows and never think of the risks involved!
