KCC FC is short sighted
EDITOR - I am an ardent fan of league champions KCC. I was however recently very disapointed by news that the Lugogo club had no clue of its CAF Champions League opponents SuperSport United’s style of play. I just couldn’t imagine that a team that represents Uganda’s richest constituency couldn’t send someone to South Africa or at worst, get TV footage of their opponents.
The attitude of KCC’s leadership seems to suggest that the club would rather not proceed in the competition. The GOdfrey Kisekkas of this world don’t seem to realise that the club’s financial problems could for ever be solved by qualification for the lucrative league stage of the competition that as of now, is only a round away!

It was a fair try

EDITOR - Our national women’s rugby side - the Lady Cranes might have not won a match in Dhubai, but they still should be commended. I am of the view that they tried their best.
What URU should now do, is to work out a programme that boosts the team’s local and international exposure. We have the potential of having a much better side next time.
