UGANDA Beach Volleyball Council has named a national team of eight players to compete at the regional beach volleyball meet at Safari Beach Hotel, Mombasa.

The two-day Mombasa International Beach Volleyball will run on September 15-16.

The players drawn from the Club Pilsner Open, are in training under coach Sam Meya.

Other teams to take part are Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi and hosts Kenya.

Milly Laker will partner Mariam Nakamanya, who is currently on national duty with the court volleyball team in Nairobi.

Tonny Lakony and Gadaffi Tamala, together with Alex Nduhukire and Hannington Nsubuga will form the men’s teams.

Chairman Mofaht Masaba has appealed for sponsors for the team’s travel costs.
