The first hearing of the case against Rodriguez takes place. The judge dismisses the murder accusation and only handles the case of bigamy to which Rodriguez pleads guilty. He is released on bond and the next hearing will be in two weeks. Isabela and her team are upset.
The Arciniegas boys confront their father demanding for the truth. Did he really kill Aristides Ruiz? Why did he keep them all from their mothers? Rodriguez instead accuses them of turning against him. He tells Alejandro that his mother was a lunatic, Reinaldo’s was a drunk and Guillermo’s was a gold digger who wanted to abort him.
Oscar Riverol tells his sister Lucia that he and Rodriguez had nothing to do with Aristide’s death. Carlos Alberto is abandoning all his other clients to pursue the murder charges against Rodriguez. Is there a chance that he is actually innocent?

Eduardo calls Alejandro to tell them that Alicia has the baby and she is mentally unstable. Alejandro is suspicious of Eduardo but will do anything to get the baby. After the baby is rescued, Alicia realises Eduardo has double-crossed her. She shoots him and runs away but the police arrest her.
Meanwhile, Claudia asks Eduardo for help, but he refuses. She accepts Alejandro’s deal to testify against Eduardo in exchange for a lighter sentence. Patrick commits suicide.
Florencia accepts John Perry’s marriage proposal and Harmon allows Flavio to marry his sister, Lucy. He will be the best man and Irene the maid of honour. Harmon decides that it is time to reveal his identity as the internet boyfriend. Will Irene forgive him and accept him?
Camila and Alejandro fly to Lima for the cases against Eduardo and Alicia and Heidi. Heidi is released and accepts a job from Camila. Eduardo is optimistic as his lawyer has assured him it will be a breeze. Will evil win or will there be any surprises for him?

The secret is out. Soledad reveals to Inez that Lorenzo only left her Hacienda San Jose because she saved his life. When Soledad was a coffee picker at Hacienda, she walked in on Inez’s cousin and wife plotting to kill Lorenzo. Out of loyalty to Lorenzo she ran to warn him and the plot was foiled. Inez is embarrassed and is determined to see Soledad and Paloma get what is theirs.
However, Fabian has secretly got a judge to annul his grandfather’s Will and has ordered the eviction of Paloma and her mother from Hacienda in the middle of the night. Diego walks in on the eviction and all hell breaks lose.
Inez is upset at Fabian’s actions. She calls a family meeting to spell out the consequences of his actions. What Fabian had not known was that the Will contained a clause which stated that should anyone attempt to annul it, all Lorenzo’s properties would be reverted back to Inez and she could do whatever she wanted with it. Inez makes it clear that Fabian will not get anything.
Meanwhile Berenice’s parents have played her a dirty one. They have no plans to pay back the money and have in fact left the country. And Barbara is in Huston busy paying off a pregnant girl for a baby.
