ARTISTE Brown San, who is also Bebe Cool’s cousin, is taking the same career path as the self-styled king of the jungle.

But the difference between the two is that while Bebe Cool’s music is secular and mainly reggae, San is into gospel. “I do gospel music because I am a born-again Christian.

But I also sing secular music which has a positive message,” says 22-year-old San (Steven Kagame)

His debut album, comprising six-songs, was recorded and produced by Shadrack of PROBE Studios and Danro from MV Enterprises.

The title track Nasalawo, is already doing well on local FM radios, especially Christian ones. However, life has not been smooth for San.

He was born to Charles Kiberuka and Joyce Nanyunja, but was disowned by his father, for reasons he cannot figure out.

So, his growing up without a father’s love inspired him to compose Nasalawo. His other songs are Lighter, Twebaze Katonda, Tuombe and Obulamu.
