Picfare Industries is targeting the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) countries, the marketing manager, Ajay Rai, has said.

“Picfare products are everywhere in Uganda. We are replicating the same distribution model in the COMESA region. We have so far opened huge distribution centres in Rwanda and Sudan and appointed dealers in bigger towns who are servicing the retail market,” Rai said.

“At these centres, we have allocated vehicles that are to distribute our products to the grassroot retailers and consumers.

Before the year ends, we would have opened in Tanzania and Burundi since arrangements are in final stages. After, we shall go to Kenya and other COMESA countries,” he said in an interview in Kampala.

Picfare, which has been in the stationery business in Uganda for 22 years, manufactures products like ruled papers, counter books, photocopy papers, graph books.
The company plans to spend $1m before the end of the year.
