THE Rwenzururu cultural leader, Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere Irema Ngoma and his Queen, Agnes Ithungu Asimawe, started a week-long honeymoon on Tuesday at Mweya Safari Lodge in Queen Elizabeth national Park.

“They needed a break. Since their royal wedding, their subjects have been thronging their palace,” spokesperson Godfrey Kabyanga said.

He said the honeymoon would be funded by the lodge and the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Recognition Committee.
The committee is negotiating with the Government to have the Obusinga recognised.

Mumbere and his 26-year-old queen wedded at St Paul’s Cathedral Kamaiba in Kasese on October 20.
