HOIMA - Two of the five UPDF soldiers, who guard the Omukama of Bunyoro, were yesterday arrested over illegally evicting tenants and injuring two of them. It is said the evicted tenants were occupying a building on the king’s land.

The two soldiers, John Barongo and Deo Byaruhanga, were arrested shortly after 6:00am at Bujwahya village.

The incident degenerated into a fist fight between the Police and the soldiers when Barongo threatened to shoot one of the policemen. The soldiers, the Police said, were led by the area LC1 chairman, Joseph Asaba.
