G4S Pirates flanker Timothy Ddumba could earn his first cap whenthe Rugby Cranes take on Kenya in the Elgon Cup second leg at Kyadondo club on Saturday.

Ddumba made the final squad of 22 after Ramano Ogwal failed to recover from injury in time.

Ddumba was first summoned to the squad that fell to Tunisia in June but did not feature in the game due to injury.
Coach Yayiro Kasasa expressed confidence in Ddumba’s abilities.

“Ddumba is quick, energetic and cannot be thrown out. His mobility is good. He can be switched if need arises,” Kasasa stressed.
Joel Anguyo and Joel Kimuli have been retained pending further fitness tests.

“We have named a 22 man squad, but Anguyo and Kimuli are still hanging as 23rd and 24th respectively,” Kasasa stated.

Uganda fell to Kenya 30-22 in Nairobi two weeks ago and must win by more than eight points to reclaim the title they lost in 2006.
The team has been supported by Western Union, Uganda telecom, Nile Breweries, Broadband Company, Vision Group, UAP Insurance and G4 Security
