THE start and finish of this year’s MTN Kampala International marathon, due on November 22, has been shifted from Logogo By-pass to a more convenient Kololo Airstrip.

The new route, drawn by UAF official Faustin Kiwa with the approval of the world’s athletics body indicates that the full marathon, half marathon and 10km races will start and end just above the airstrip.

“The Police has already sanctioned the full marathon and 10km routes, we are still considering the best alternative for the half marathon route,” Kiwa explained.

“We want to minimise interruption of traffic and also security of the athletes.
