Rukungiri wants 5 sub-counties
RUKUNGIRI-The district plans to create five more sub-counties, the chairperson has disclosed. Zedekia Karokora said the proposal would soon be tabled before the district council. The district has 11 sub-counties. Karokora said the sub-counties would be curved from Bwambara, Bugangari, Nyakagyeme, Nyarushanje and Nyakishenyi sub-counties, which have a total population of more than 30,000 people.

Farmers get coffee seedlings
ISINGIRO-Farmers in the district have received 40,000 seedlings from the Uganda Coffee Development Authority. The district Woman MP, Grace Byarugaba, on Saturday distributed the seedlings to farmers in Rugaga and Kabingo sub-counties. She said the seedlings would boost coffee production in the area.
