UNILEVER has donated an assortment of goods and foodstuffs to mothers and patients of Jinja hospital. While handing over the items to the mothers recently, Unilever’s customer brand manager, Emmy Hashaka, said the donation was part of their corporate social responsibility.

“Mothers play a big role in the family and most of them use our products like Geisha soap. It is our responsibility to pay back to mothers for supporting us,” he said.

Dorothy Namunana of Busedde sub-county, Jinja, who gave birth to five children recently, also got a package. The package included Geisha soap, a busuuti, vaseline, Omo detergent and children’s clothes.
