Two house helps were killed in separate incidents in the city last week.
Six people have been arrested in connection with the murders.
The first was on Thursday on Sir Apollo Kagwa Road and the other on Saturday in Bunga, a city suburb.
In the most recent incident, the Police arrested two sisters, Barbara Auma and Jim Adong of Bunga suspected of having burnt their house help to death before dumping his body in Kabalagala, a city suburb.
“They had come to report a murder by mob justice but they were arrested following preliminary investigations. They are being detained at Kabalagala Police station,†Kampala Extra Police spokesman Simeo Nsubuga said.
The two, Police said, were staying with the deceased, Lauben Sunday, 20, who had been hired by their sister only identified as Kevina, in London, to look after her house.
The Police said the duo doused Sunday with paraffin before setting him ablaze for allegedly stealing their property.
Sunday’s body was discovered in Kabalagala.
In the Thursday incident, a woman and her three daughters were held in connection with the death of their house help. The boy, only identified as Ambrose, 15, was beaten to death.
Hajati Nusura, alias Fatima Aisha Isoke of Kakaire Zone along Sir Apollo Kaggwa Road, reportedly accused Ambrose of stealing a mobile phone.
“She pounced on the boy and beat him up,†Nsubuga said yesterday.
Moments after the beatings, the phone Ambrose was accused of stealing was recovered.
Ambrose, died shortly after, according to Nsubuga, who said they were investigating the matter. “This is murder. They suspected him of stealing something but instead of taking him to the Police, they beat him up.â€
Nusura (45) and her daughters Rehema Mamir (19) who is in her Senior Six vacation, Hawa Babirye (16) and Dinah Mwasi, (25) are at Old Kampala Police Station.
Mwasi completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Makerere University Business School in Kampala, while Babirye is a Senior Four student.
The residents wanted to lynch Nusura and her children but the Police saved them. The mob razed their house. Ambrose’s body was taken to the city mortuary at Mulago in Kampala.
In another incident, the Police recovered the body of a murdered boda boda cyclist which was dumped in a pond in Natete, a city suburb.
The deceased was only identified as Kayongo, a cyclist near Bristol Bar Natete and a resident of Kakajo Masaja zone.
