PROLine Academy will sign a four year sponsorship deal worth £300,000 (sh1bn) with kit manufacturers Nike when the team tours England later this month.

Nike have sent them a sample of what they will provide. The package has 50 footballs, 50 pairs of Nike snickers, 30 pairs of track-suits, six pairs of goalkeeper gloves, 30 pairs of jeans, 25 pairs of sweat suits, two sets of jerseys and 30 casual T-shirts.

The academy’s U-18 team will play a series of friendlies with top Premier league reserve and academy sides.
Proline director Mujib Kasule said the kit was part of the agreements that were initiated when Rio Ferdinand visited the country last year.

“The arrival of these goods is timely and it comes handy as we prepare for our football tour to England,” he said after picking up the kit last week.

The Ugandan youngsters will play at Portsmouth, West Ham United and League One side Millwall.

The U-18 side will also have an opportunity to meet and play with Manchester United’s senior team at their training base in Carrington.

The entire trip will cost $ 75,000 (sh 127m) and Pro-Line is still seeking sponsors to help send several youngsters.
