SAMUEL Egadu and Emily Nanziri dominated races as sprinters impressed at the fourth national athletics trials in Tororo on Saturday, reports Norman Katende.
Egadu was in imperious form in the 400m event, despite his poor reaction, as he reached home in a time of 48.4 on the poor grass track. He would have performed better, hadn't he spent a second organising his short on the home straight.
Nanziri, fresh from Nairobi where she failed to compete in the Kenya trials, was the star in the 400m (56.2), 100m (12.4), before clocking an impressive 24.9 in the 200m, her personal best on grass.
Adero Nyakisi, fresh from a one-and-half month training stint in Europe beat Iganga's Annet Negesa in the 1500m in the competition that saw Kapchorwa dominate the long distances.
