WBS Tv, please bring back Health Zone
EDITOR—I was both surprised and disappointed that the management of WBS Television decided to put the health zone programme off air and replace it with another one called ‘<i>Wakulenume</i>’. Many people hardly understand this programme.
EDITOR—I was both surprised and disappointed that the management of WBS Television decided to put the health zone programme off air and replace it with another one called ‘Wakulenume’. Many people hardly understand this programme.
It is a pity that WBS did not realise how popular Health Zone had made their television. Almost everybody who watches television in Uganda, was interested in the programme.
Secondly, they never seem to have appreciated the professional and exemplary conduct with which Prof. George Kirya used to discuss the various health issues with his guests.
The issues were discussed in a very simple manner under the guidance of Kirya. This is one of the reasons why many people enjoyed the programme and looked forward to watching it.
Many people, because of this programme, started realising the danger of ignorance about health issues. I am sure I am representing the majority of Ugandans who watch television when I very kindly request WBS to resume screening Health Zone as soon as possible.
